Reserve A Rental ("we", "us") builds direct-booking websites for vacation-rental owners ("Hosts"). This policy explains how we handle information on https://reservearental.com and on the Host websites we operate (for example, yourname.reservearental.com).

Information we collect

Guests who book or create an account: your name, email address, optional phone number, the dates and number of guests, any message you send the Host, and whether you chose to receive offers by email.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive confirmation of payment and the amount.
In-home check-in: when you scan a check-in QR code, we use your booking email to send a one-time code and record that you verified your stay.
Hosts (owners): account details, business and contact information, a mailing address used on marketing emails, property details, photos and calendar links you provide.
People who contact us: the details you enter in our contact, quote or SEO-audit forms.
Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, one to remember a verified check-in on your phone for the rest of your stay, and one for owners previewing a site before it is published. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use information

To create and manage bookings, process payments and send booking-related messages (confirmations, check-in codes, account notices).
To show the Host the details of bookings made with them so they can host your stay.
To send marketing emails only if you ticked the opt-in box. Every marketing email includes the sender's postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
To answer enquiries, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Who we share it with

The Host of the rental you book or contact.
Service providers that run the service for us, under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery) and Stripe (payments). If a Host connects Stripe, payments go to the Host's Stripe account.
Calendar partners, only as blocked dates: we share availability (no guest names or emails) through calendar feeds the Host connects to Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or Google.
Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganised, under this same policy.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as needed for the stay, support, and legal and tax purposes (typically up to 7 years). Check-in codes expire after 15 minutes and are deleted with old records. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Hosts can delete their account at any time by contacting us.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email.
Access, correct or delete your information by contacting us. We will verify the request and respond within 45 days.
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. You can send requests yourself or through an authorised agent.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, store passwords only as salted hashes, keep payment data with Stripe, and limit access to personal information to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and bookings must be made by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
